I heard everyone in the film is wearing their corresponding Adidas gear.
I’ve also heard Lucas has replaced an extra in every movie with himself, ala Hitchcock and Stan Lee.
these statements may or may not be completely fabricated by me.
May the 4th be with you. [Ewan McGregor] [George Lucas] [Carrie Fisher] [James Earl Jones] [Frank Oz] [Pumpkin R2-D2] [The Sounds of Star Wars]
I remember the first time I saw Star Wars. On video no less, which for most of my life was the only way I saw Star Wars. Like so many, I wore holes in those old VHS tapes. Come to think about it, I think I still have them some where…
Anyway, it wasn’t until later on, when Lucas released the special editions, that I was actually able to enjoy Star Wars on the big screen. It didn’t disappoint. Yeah sure, some of the special effects were dodgy, even with the face lift. But the heart and soul of the movies aged well. They still had the ability to move and engross.
I lined up for the second trilogy as well. Each one, even Attack of the Clones. And yeah, when they were all on DVD I even spent a weekend watching them in sequence. Even with the incredible Cartoon Network Clone Wars Tartovsky series thrown in. Was a very geeky, but very entertaining weekend.
Star Wars, like Star Trek before and still, got a young kid engrossed with discovery, with exploring and even cooperation (thanks Star Trek). Stories like these are modern day camp-fire stories. They stoke the imagination, especially in the young. I know they did with me.
That and I always wanted a lightsaber.
I think I’d have traded my left nut for an X-wing fighter.
He “bleeps” me<3
R2-D2 always gets the hot girls :p
