Sorry for the shameless plugging, folks! Class project. I’d love if you could help out and come over, actually!
No one to cuddle with this February 14? Tired of walking around and seeing sugary-sweet couples walking hand-in-hand? Then come celebrate anti-Valentine’s Day with a screening of KEKA, a serial killer romantic comedy from the Philippines!

The movie tells the story of Keka, a quirky call-center agent obsessed with the past who is traumatized by her boyfriend’s fraternity-related murder. She decides to exact her revenge years later, picking off the murderers one by one. Enter Jason, the lovestruck police detective who falls for her. Everything is hunky dory until Jason is assigned to investigate a series of murders, with all signs leading to Keka.

Winner of the Los Angeles Asia Pacific Festival’s 2003 Audience Award, Keka was hailed by Variety Magazine as “a refreshing change of pace for Philippine cinema” and by Quentin Tarantino as “a hell of a lot of fun.” Watch it this Saturday, 3:30 PM at Popovich Hall 212 for $8 pre-sale in the JKP courtyard (Wednesday and Thursday) or $10 at the door, with free pizza and a drink!

Stay after for Q & A with the director!
